Editorial policy

Sourcing, verification, corrections, AI disclosure and the wall between advertising and editorial.

What we publish

We publish practical guides, explainers and news summaries about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. We prioritise questions that affect a purchase, a download, a setting or a match outcome.

Sourcing standard

  • Primary first. Official Activision blogs, support articles and store listings take precedence over secondary coverage.
  • Named secondary sources. When official information is missing, we cite a dated article from a named publication.
  • Two-source rule for numbers. Prices, install sizes, release times and player counts require at least two independent sources or one official source.
  • Uncertainty is labelled. "Expected", "reported" and "unconfirmed" are used deliberately. We do not present a rumour as a fact.

Updates and corrections

Every guide carries an update date. When a patch, season or store change makes a page wrong, we update it. Corrections are not silently deleted; the page changes and the date moves forward. To report an error, email [email protected] with the URL and a source.

AI use

We use AI for drafting, translation and original illustrations. A human editor checks claims against sources, removes fabricated specifics, and decides what publishes. AI is not used to invent review scores, quotes or sources. If an AI-generated illustration could be mistaken for an official screenshot, we label it in the caption.

Advertising and independence

Advertising slots are controlled separately from editorial. Advertisers do not see articles before publication, cannot request changes, and do not receive a ranking or a favourable review. If a page contains an affiliate link, it will be disclosed. At the time of publication, this site uses official store links without commission.

Review policy

We do not accept payment for review scores. Where we summarise reviews, we name the outlet and the score. Where we give our own verdict, we explain the criteria: campaign quality, multiplayer stability, map design, progression and value.
