Who is responsible
MW4 Field Manual ("we", "the site") is an independent publisher reachable at [email protected]. We are the controller for the limited personal data described here.
What we collect
Server and security logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and CDN process IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp and response status to deliver the site and prevent abuse. These logs are short-lived and are not used to build profiles.
Consent preferences. We store your cookie choices in your browser's local storage under the key "mw4-consent". This is essential to remember your choice and is not shared.
Analytics. If you consent to analytics and the site operator has configured Google Analytics 4 and/or Microsoft Clarity, those tools collect page views, approximate location (derived from IP), device type, browser, referral source, interaction events and, for Clarity, anonymised session recordings and heatmaps. We configure IP anonymisation where the tool supports it. Analytics load only after consent.
Advertising. If you consent to advertising and an ad slot has been configured, the inserted code may set cookies or local storage, collect device and browsing data, and serve personalised or non-personalised ads. The ad code is controlled by the site operator and may change without notice. Advertising code loads only after consent.
Email. If you email us, we receive your address and message. We use it to respond and keep a record of corrections or requests.
We do not create accounts, sell products, run a newsletter or process payments on this site.
Legal bases
- Essential operation and security: legitimate interests and, where required, legal obligation.
- Analytics: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); UK GDPR; ePrivacy).
- Advertising: consent.
- Email correspondence: legitimate interests or consent, depending on the request.
Cookies and similar technologies
See the cookie policy for the categories and current tool names. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings control in the footer.
Sharing
We share data with:
- Vercel — hosting and delivery.
- Google — Analytics 4, if configured.
- Microsoft — Clarity, if configured.
- Advertising partners — only if ad code is configured and you consent.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share email addresses with advertisers.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Retention
Server logs are retained for a short operational period. Analytics data is retained according to the tool's settings (typically 14 months for GA4). Consent preferences remain until you clear browser storage. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the request.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and request portability. EU and UK users can complain to a supervisory authority. California residents may request disclosure or deletion under the CCPA/CPRA and opt out of sale or sharing; we do not sell personal information.
To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify that the request relates to you.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Call of Duty is rated for mature audiences in most regions.
Security
We use HTTPS, a reputable host and minimal data collection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. Material changes will be noted on this page.
